It's been a little crazy around here with baby showers and graduations.  Not to mention, my energy level is really decreasing and I haven't been feeling my best, but I'm nearing the home stretch, just 56 days until my due date, so I can't complain too much.  Also, I am planning some big things for the future of the shop that I can't wait to share with you in the next month or so.  For now, I have these new dresses for you in the online SHOP!

Around the Shop: Vintage Framed Signs

I'm really enjoying having a boutique where people come to physically shop because it allows me to sell a variety of smaller, inexpensive items that I cannot put online.  Along with that, I get to create cute little displays and signs for these items!  Here are some vintage frames I used to make little signs throughout the shop.  You could use the same idea for small displays in your home or centerpieces at parties.

What A Wonderful Weekend!

I hope you had a lovely weekend, I sure did!     

Saturday morning, Ruby and I went to the nursery to buy some vegetables and flowers to add to the garden.  Everything we grew over winter has gone to seed and we needed to start fresh with some new plants.  

I kept it simple with the produce this time around, since the baby will be here right around the time of harvest.  We bought a mix of lettuce, 4 types of heirloom tomatoes, basil, cilantro, mint and a few new strawberry plants to replace the ones that aren't fruiting anymore. 

Sunday morning I went to the Rose Bowl Flea Market and scored this amazing french bed for Ruby and some pre-worn Kork-ease platform sandals that I have been wearing since I got them home.

The shop was open on Saturday and we had tons of walk-ins, yay!  Thank you to everyone who came by and shopped, we were thrilled to have you!  Plus, our shop was mentioned in the LA Times Saturday section, yippee!

We had a lovely Mother's Day lunch in the backyard, prepared by my fantastic husband and the other non-moms in the fam.  It was a relaxing time of conversation and lots of laughter.  I am so thankful for my mom, my mom-in-law and for being a a mom to my girls, what joy all those relationships bring me!

Hopefully next time we eat in the backyard it will be sitting at this amazing table that Jeff is building for me.  I am so excited, could I be any more blessed?!!

Last Minute Mother's Day Gifts Under $30

We have lots of last minute Mother's Day gifts at the shop and we'll be open tomorrow (Sat) from 11-5pm.  If you're on a budget, we have lots of great things under $30 and we'd be happy to gift wrap it for you!  If you see something you'd like for yourself, send your husband and kids over and we'll help them locate it in the shop and wrap it for no extra charge.

We have a selection of vintage charms, most are under $10.

After you choose your charm, decide what length and style of vintage chain you would like to hang it on. Most of this are $15 or less!

If you're mom is a little more bohemian, we have these fun brass and copper strands that can be worn as necklaces or bracelets and are perfect for layering with other jewelry, just $15.

If you choose one of these, your mom is sure to get a lot of use out of it. 

We also have some lovely vintage wallets that range in price from $10 to $30.

The Shop Is OPEN!

After a bit of back and forth about whether my work space was a shop or studio, I have decided that it's both!  The front area acts as a shop and the back as my work space.  It's all open, so you can see what I do when I don't have customers.  Right now we are only open on Saturdays from 11am-5pm and I am in the process of hiring a trusty helper.  We'll still do appointments at other times and if you stop by when I'm there, come on in!  Last Saturday was our first day and it was so busy, we had a big sale in the back of the shop as well as some champagne and treats.  Thank you to all of my lovely local customers, I am looking forward to seeing you more often!
